As the rain pours down here in London it is hard to believe that this is supposedly the heart of the English summertime...so much for nursing icey glasses of Pimms in the sunshine! But down in Cornwall they've come up with a novel way of celebrating the onset of autumn days, when nights start to slowly draw in and the trees turns from green to bronzed oranges and coppers.
Starting on Wednesday 31st Autumn, and then every Saturday in September (10th, 17th and 24th), the team at Bedruthan Steps invite you to celebrate their Cornish Ale, Song and Harvest Festival - which as the name suggests is a fun filled festival involving hops, barley and water! The festival will feature a range of Cornish singers and players to make merry until feet and voices are weary!
The festival will be (weather permitting) open air, and guests can enjoy the bountiful harvest with the newly ripened produce from the fields, accompanying great freshly caught fish and meats from local farmers and producers. Prices are from £164 per person for a two night stay, and includes breakfast and dinner, and entrance to the festival fun.
